Automated Side Effect Checker

In this page we can see the ongoing medicine of the patients with active elements, dose modification or dose tapering, medicine indications, common side effects, rare side effects, rarest side effects, watchable and life threating side effects as well as drug acting pathway. This page shows the patient's symptoms which would be happening from the medicine side effects. Also we can see medicine acting pathway for which the medicine is inhibitor or activator that will be helpful to find the medicine action. We can also find that acting pathways are harmful or beneficial for the disease from the metabolic pathway. It will also show the food which should take and should be avoided in reference of medicine and pathway.

Check Problem Symptoms or Causes

There is a report by that we can check the causes of problem happenings. We select the date of problem, also then it will show simultaneously the changes in food intake, exercise, investigation and other patient input.

Nutrient Maximum Value and Minimum Value Difference ( RDA Difference)

It depends upon the peak value of a nutrient as comparison to its minimum value. The nutrient value according to daily requirement of a nutrient should be at a even level throughout the day.

Direct Sample Collection in IPD's

In this feature if a patient having advance amount uploaded on cash counter, he or she does not need to get slip from cash counter and also no need to queue for sample collection. The sample will be auto collected and barcode printed in the IPD's and will be send directly to the laboratory.

Medication Allots

In this feature we allot the nursing and paramedical staff by the notification or pop-up's for medicine dose at right time, right patient, right dose and right documentation.

Patient Control System

The MedSense’s (HIS) Patient Control Station provides the hospital patient or nursing home resident easy control over their clinical condition i.e. vitals, investigations, sign and symptoms, missed dose, drug interaction, contra indication etc. It show the patient record digitally on a single screen TV where it notifies all the abnormal conditions. If any critical abnormality seen the doctor, JRs, technical staff or nursing staff can be called.

There are the following features:

  1. Provide easy access to control from a single point.
  2. All IPDs patient is listed ordered by criticality and patient condition.
  3. It is digitally shown the vitals (BP, temperature, respiration rate, heart rate, pulse and SpO2), electrolytes (sodium, potassium, magnesium and calcium), abnormal investigations and intake-output.
  4. It is also notified when the parameter comes abnormal.
  5. Numeric parameters are divided into 5 parts:
    • Normal Range
    • Upper Border Line Range (+- 10% of Upper Value)
    • Upper Range (Greater than +10% of Upper Value)
    • Bottom Border Line Range (+- 10% of Lower Value)
    • Bottom Range (Less than - 10% of Upper Value)
  6. The clinician can also set the desired parameter for notifications according the patient condition or disease.
  7. It also shows the missed dose notification by flashing it.
  8. One more parameter is seen, if any complication happens to the patient and it is related to the medicines side effect, it automatically check and notify the relation of problem-side effect.
  9. Notification can also be seen for medicine contra indication and drug-drug interaction’s effect if happens.
  10. We can also see the nutrient and minerals level compared with the RDA.

Notification

This feature has a specialty to send a notification to an assigned person, when there is abnormal investigations or abnormal vitals. It can also send notification for parameters set by doctor or any authorized person for particular patient such as exercise or for any specific advice. It can also sent notification for RDA change, change in medicine and for excess dose.

Patient Food

In this the recommended diet is given to the patient's as advised by the dietician. The diet given to patient is 7 times a day(as recommended).The diet slip is sent to the mess incharge and from mess incharge, this slip is sent to the kitchen.

Emergency Call to Doctor

In case of critical patient or emergency, the message is send to assign team which include Dr. of Medicine, anesthiologist, cardiologist, CMO, nurse, technician, security officer and hospital administrator. This message is send by pressing a Code Blue or Code Red display button showing on the Doctor or nurse panel. This message is send only by a authorize person, who has HIS login id.

Notification about Patient Condition in Control Room

This section show a list of admitted patient with their PID and complete detail including diagnosis, ward, complete vitals ,SpO2 level and last investigation. It also provide information about electrolyte balance, missed dose, intake or output of a patient. The notification is send when vital is low or high. It also notify to give medicine and any abnormal thing in patient. A bell icon is shown which provide "to do details" and “not to do reports".

Low Calcium Monitoring

This section is exclusively for low calcium level in body. To maintain calcium level in the body, either food rich in calcium is given or by medicine. This section also shoe calcium intake from food during last 24 hrs. Depending upon the level of calcium in body, diet and medicine is advised. The calcium dose is given orally or in liquid form. In addition diary product is given to increase calcium level in body. The amount of calcium given is noted, whether in the form of medicine or dairy product. If the calcium is given in the form of medicine, dose quantity and time is noted. If the patient is admitted, their vitals can taken every hour and this is continued till the patient is discharged. The authorized person can input value of these columns i.e. pulse feeble, pulse missed, pulse is absent then carotid pulse, patient advised nil orally and patient advice RT feed.
